Jill Dunn got into matchmaking when she became single in 2016. After her divorce, she began looking for ways to embrace her newly single status by attending various mixers around town. But her efforts to meet new people proved fruitless.

Her frustrations led her to take action, as she shared with CT Insider:

“I started my business in 2018 by throwing singles mixer events for people to meet. I had a background in throwing events, so as a person who loves love, I wanted to connect the two.”

Dunn launched 'JillinIt' in 2018 in Norwalk, CT. While she primarily works with singles in nearby areas, her reach has extended to other cities across the United States. 

As her JillinIt events gained popularity, Dunn expanded her services to offer matchmaking and coaching. She believes these additions allow her "to connect singles that are unable to make it to events or singles that happened to be at different events."

Not only is Dunn dedicated to helping singles find love, but she is also actively seeking it herself. This led to involvement in a reality show. 

In 2022, Dunn appeared in an episode of "Five Guys A Week," a Lifetime TV series in which each episode features 5 single men and 1 single woman living under the same roof. The woman eliminates each suitor one by one to see if she can find someone special.

In an interview with Connecticut News 12, she shared, "I'm a single who's serious about getting serious.”

For those interested in working with Dunn as a matchmaking client, the process starts by preliminarily choosing a matchmaking package from the website and filling out the corresponding online inquiry form. 

Next, a member of the JillinIt team will reach out to book a one-on-one consultation. This meeting is aimed at getting to know you better and learning your match preferences, deal-breakers, etc.

If you decide to move forward with the service, you will pay all applicable fees and sign a contract. 

Once you’ve paid in full for your package, the search begins. 

Dunn explained the process this way:

"Once I find someone I think they’ll like, I reach out to them. If it’s a match for both parties, I coordinate a time and a place for them to meet. After every date, I check in with clients and see what went right and what went wrong. This helps guide their next date."

In addition to matchmaking, JillinIt provides dating coaching sessions and packages. According to Dunn, she has always enjoyed working with individuals as a coach and mentor.

“I was born to teach and I make sure to make this experience as comfortable and teachable for my clients [as possible]. Dating should be fun and enjoyable. It should not feel like a chore.”

Dunn emphasizes the importance of singles venturing into the dating world with a clear understanding of their relationship goals.

Dunn frequently organizes mixers, speed dating, and other events for Connecticut singles, hosting a few JillinIt events each month. When asked about her most successful offering, Dunn mentioned that her singles events might surpass her matchmaking endeavors.

What It Costs To Hire Jill Dunn 

JillinIt offers a range of matchmaking packages from Basic to VIP.

The Basic package, at $1,995 per month, might provide you with up to 3 potential matches a week. 

The Premium package starts at $2,695 per month and includes up to 6 potential matches each week. The premium level also includes extra vetting, screening, and background checks for matches. 

Both Basic and Premium packages necessitate a minimum commitment of 3 months.

The Elite package mirrors the Premium in terms of monthly cost but offers a 1-month discount for those ready to commit to 7 months paid upfront.

VIP Matchmaking memberships are by invitation only. However, if you wish to be considered you can express your interest through the website. VIP packages range from $30,000 to more than $60,000.

You can join their network of singles for free. However, no active search on your behalf is included. You’ll only be considered as a possible match for paying clients, and you may never be contacted this way.

JillinIt also offers stand alone dating coaching sessions, which run from $100 for a 30-minute session to $175 for 60 minutes. There is a discount for purchasing sessions in bulk, and a monthly membership option that costs $2,500 and requires a 3-month commitment.
