Meet International Matchmaker Ksenia Droben

Ksenia Droben has been a matchmaker and dating coach for over two decades, originally getting into the industry after earning her Bachelor’s at the Institute of Foreign Languages in Russia. 

In an interview, Droben shared that she was searching for job opportunities when she came across an ad requesting a translator for a matchmaking company’s St. Petersburg clients. 

“I sent my CV but didn’t get any answer. However, I was now intrigued with this profession and so I found the addresses of 5 other similar German matchmakers and sent my CV to them. Nobody answered.”

Intrigued by the concept of matchmaking, she continued applying for translator roles and started working with several German services. She was also laying the foundation for starting her own matchmaking company, as she explained to Global Love Report:

“During this time I started building up my own database and eventually rented an office and hired an assistant. This was 18 years ago and she is still working with me. We then moved to a bigger office and hired more matchmakers. Now I cannot imagine doing any other job.” 

How Ksenia Droben Matchmaking Works

In 1998, Ksenia launched Ksenia Droben International Matchmaking in Saint Petersburg, Russia. But she also has 3 other offices:

• Heidelberg, Germany
• Kiev, Ukraine
• London, UK

The matchmaking process begins by scheduling a complimentary 30-minute “discovery call” with a matchmaker from Ksenia’s team. You’ll talk about what you’re looking for in a relationship, and learn about the membership tier structure (more on that coming up!) 

As a client, you’ll be matched with compatible singles from her database. Droben shared in an interview that she has approximately 4,000 women in her database, predominantly from Russia and Ukraine.

Clients can also search through that database on their own, letting the team know who they’re interested in meeting. After each introduction, you’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback to your matchmaker.

Ksenia Droben International Matchmaking also hosts 10-12 events for international singles every year, both in-person and online, where men can meet beautiful women.

Events range from cocktail parties and matchmaking events to a “Fairy Tale Weekend For Singles” hosted in a German castle.

The service also offers various coaching programs that span a variety of dating-related topics.

Ksenia Droben Matchmaking Cost

Prospective male clients have two membership tiers to choose from: “VIP” and “Dating”.

Women join Droben’s database for free, however this option does not include a proactive search. That means you’ll only be contacted if you meet a paying client’s criteria. 

Joining As A VIP Client

As the name implies, this is Droben’s high-end membership. Prices for VIP packages are not posted on their website as the service is tailored to fit each client’s search requirements.

However, per the listing with the The Association of British Introduction Agencies, Ksenia Droben’s VIP packages start between €3000 to €5000+ for a 6-month contract.

VIP packages include unlimited matches, search, matchmaking consultations, and video dates. There’s also a Whatsapp group for clients, and when your contract expires you’ll automatically become a Dating-level client. 

Joining As A Dating Client

This membership tier has a €299 registration fee. The fee covers your first interview with a matchmaker and access to the database of potential matches.

With this level of membership, services are purchased a la carte: 

• Introductions are purchased individually, for €149 each (€60 for a video date) 
• An individual search, which Droben calls a “Spotlight”, costs €449 
• An additional consultation with Droben costs €149

Dating clients are also eligible to attend Droben’s single’s events, the cost of which varies.
