The Rizz app uses AI technology to suggest pick-up lines based on screenshots of your online matches and conversations. It will generate messages you can use as conversation starters or to elevate your chat.

The app is meant to be your AI dating assistant (or ‘wingman’) that offers guidance to improve your online flirting. Its goal is to move things off of the dating app as quickly as possible.

Rizz was co-founded by Roman Khaves and Joshua Miller in 2022. Since the app launched, over 7.5 million users have tried the app, as Khaves told Forbes:

To begin using Rizz, you can either upload a screenshot of your conversation or the profile photo of your match. The app will provide messages you can use to kickstart a conversation or continue the one you’ve already got going.

These messages might be fun and charming, but they can sometimes miss their mark. (We’ll talk about this further down!)

Since Rizz uses AI algorithms and data to craft replies, its suggestions will improve the more you use it. Basically, it begins to mirror your personality through screenshots of your conversations.

Moving forward, Khaves has plans to take the Rizz app a step further by turning it into a matchmaking platform. In his words:  

“We’re developing an AI matchmaking platform that will leverage our deep understanding of user preferences and communication styles to suggest highly compatible matches.”

Rizz is free for the first week, but it will charge you $7 per week moving forward. You can save a bit of money by signing up for the monthly subscription which costs around $20 a month.

Rizz has been featured in several media outlets like Cosmopolitan and Time, including what some individuals had to say about their experience.
