Tawkify At A Glance

Founded in 2012, Tawkify is a national dating service that works with a network of over 50 professional matchmakers in 30+ major US cities. They claim to have over 1.5 million singles in their national database.

Singles have several membership options when it comes to joining Tawkify. You can sign up as a VIP Client, Matchmaker Client, or Matchable Member.

As a Matchmaker Client, you’ll be paired with a personal matchmaker who will select compatible matches in your area from Tawkify’s database. Date arrangements are made for you, generally based on a mutual interest. 

The VIP Client membership includes extra perks, such as searching multiple locations for matches and personalized recruiting from outside the database. You’ll also have the ability to put your membership on hold, and have the option to include background checks on matches and dating coaching.

As a Matchable Member, you pay $99 per year to have your profile included in Tawkify’s database. You are not working directly with a matchmaker, and no active search is done on your behalf. You’ll only be contacted in the event your profile meets the criteria of a paying client. 

One thing to note: Tawkify matchmakers do not share photos, so you’ll be going on blind dates.

Three Day Rule At A Glance

Three Day Rule was founded by matchmaker Talia Goldstein in 2010. They have offices in 12 cities around the US.

Like Tawkify, Three Day Rule offers a variety of membership options. You can join the database of singles for free, however this is a passive membership. You’re not working directly with a matchmaker, and you’ll only be contacted if you fit the bill for a paying client. 

As a paying client, you can opt for a VIP membership. Searches are generally 6 months, and contracts start at $19,500. 

Or, you can opt to purchase a $5,900 package that includes a guaranteed minimum of 3 matches over 3 months. If you want more guaranteed matches, you can opt to receive a minimum of 6 matches over the course of 6 months, which costs $9,500. 

Both of these packages include a photoshoot and two date coaching sessions.

One thing to note: You’ll have the opportunity to review both a profile and a photo of each potential match. Careful consideration goes into choosing your matches, so each presentation counts as an official match, even if you aren’t interested in a date with that person.

VIDA Select

Founded in 2009 by Scott Valdez, VIDA Select puts a modern spin on matchmaking that fuses technology with matchmaking expertise and intuition. VIDA’s matchmakers have access to the largest source of eligible singles there is!

As a client, you’ll be paired with a dedicated personal matchmaker who will get to know you and your lifestyle. You’ll be meeting singles selected with long-term compatibility in mind, and you get to approve each potential match based on a profile and array of photos. 

When it comes to contracts, VIDA does things a little differently. Rather than investing in a multi-month membership, VIDA offers packages that are pay as you go.

That gives you the convenience of pausing your search as needed, and if VIDA isn’t the right approach for you, simply don’t continue the next month. No long-term commitments.

One thing to note: Monthly package prices highly align with the number of hours your dedicated matchmaker should spend each month on your search, given your match criteria complexity, geographic scope, etc. 

Basic service starts at $1195 per month, and Premium options begin at only $1795 per month. Elite matchmaking service starts at just $2595 per month.
